What Exactly Is An IRCC Number?

In today’s blog let’s find out what an IRCC number is.

The following type of numbers are issued to the applicants during interaction by the IRCC:

  • UNIQUE CLIENT IDENTIFIER

The unique client number is issued separately and is unique for every applicant. Therefore, a family with four family members will be issued four different client identification numbers; each for every member of the family.

  • APPLICATION NUMBER

The Application number; also known as the file number, is also unique for each application. However, in some consequences, the same application number can be used by more than one applicant at the same time.

  • DOCUMENT NUMBER

In case of any document being issued by the IRCC, a unique and separate number will be attached to the document.

  • FORM NUMBER

The number in the IRCC form is mostly at the lower left-side corner of the form. Most of the time, the number begins with the IMM mentioned at the beginning of the number.
