This Act was crafted by the duo Joelle Grogan and Alice Donald, and it’s all about curbing UK’s illegal entry.




The Home Secretary is tasked with removing those who have traveled through a safe third country before coming to the UK without permission.

 

The two terms “leave to enter” and “leave to remain” are important elements of the Act. The first is your authorization to enter the country, usually a visa. And the second is basically how long you can stay in the country according to your visa.
