Bas Javid’s New Direction For UK Immigration Enforcement

 We’ve got some good news to share with you today! Bas Javid, a decorated police officer, has been appointed as the new Director General of Immigration Enforcement. Let’s find out what this means for the UK.

 

Meet Bas Javid

 

With a 30-year career in policing, Bas Javid has a wealth of experience to his new role, and he’ll be joining the Home Office in November.

 

He’s definitely no stranger to law enforcement. He’s been Deputy Assistant Commissioner at the Metropolitan Police Service and has previously served at Avon and Somerset Police, West Midlands Police, and the Met.



Plans For Immigration Enforcement Efforts

 

Did you know that immigration enforcement visits are at their highest since 2019?

 

That’s nearly 50% more than last year! Javid plans to continue with these efforts, working closely with other agencies like the police and Border Force.
